About The Event
What Lies Beneath: Archaeology and GPR at Whipps Garden Cemetery. Hear from local archaeologist Julie Danna as she explores some of the artifacts found at Whipps Garden Cemetery during garden maintenance. She will also discuss our endeavor to fund ground penetrating radar to further understand the cemetery without disturbing the ground and what we could learn from the data. This event is part of our annual Daffodil Day celebration, celebrating spring in the garden. The event is outdoors. Refreshments and kids' activities will be available. Spring flowers will be available for purchase to support this historic acre. Parking is available along St. John's Lane or on Waycross Street.
